Since 1936, "Hurlbut Miniature" Locomotives have graced Southern California amusement parks, bringing a shared tradition and family fun to adults and children alike!

Park goers of all ages can remember the great times riding these trains, even today our locomotives can be experienced in person as they haul passengers at their favorite local parks.

Western Train Co. is proud to maintain 14 original Hurlbut Locomotives at their home tracks in California Theme Parks. With almost a dozen more engines out of state and on private tracks.

First made available in 1936 and still available in 2020, these locomotives have stood the true test of time and are chugging ever closer to 100 years of service!
