Lost Island Theme Park Carousel sees progress

The Carousel formerly known as the Bay Creek Carousel now has a new destination. The 50 foot Carousel originally designed for Bayside Village will now find it's home at Lost Island Waterpark in Waterloo, IA. Originally designed by artist T. Peterson, the carousel is now in the final production stages at California based amusement company Western Train Co. and is expected to be delivered to Iowa and installed in early 2022. The carousel features 42 wood carved animal figures and 4 chariots, all being finished together as an aquatic/island theme for the waterpark.

Western Train Co. has spent the majority of 2020 and 2021 working on high profile Merry go Round builds and restoration. The amusement company is set to install 2 carousels and 3 train rides across the United States by 2022 and have several other projects in the works. The company is ran by a team of artists, engineers, painters, machinists and fabricators.
